Cops hunt gunmen after Canary Wharf assaults

Police officers from Central East CID are hunting three men after they assaulted three women at gunpoint at a restaurant in Pan Peninsula Square E14.

The incident happened just after 11pm on Saturday 5th June.

Women assaulted at gunpoint

According to witnesses three men entered the restaurant and approached the women while pointing the handgun at them.

Although the handgun was not fired two of the women were assaulted by the men.

The three suspects then ran off in the direction of South Quay DLR station.

The suspects were described as three black men and the man with the gun was described as wearing a grey hooded tracksuit and balaclava.

As yet there have been no arrests.
