Four people were rescued by London Fire Brigade last night after a fire broke out in an eighth floor five-roomed flat in the Oxbow building, New Village Avenue, Aberfeldy Village.
Firefighters evacuated a total of 20 people from the fire which is believed to have started around 10.30 pm last night.
According to a London Fire Brigade (LFB) statement three men left the flat before firefighters arrived and another four were rescued by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus down an internal staircase.
One person was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.

One of the LFB’s new 32-metre ladders from the Old Kent Road Fire Station was deployed as a water tower and aerial drones were also used to provide imagery.
LFB was called at 22.33 hours and the fire was under control by 23.48 hours.
An investigation into the cause of the fire has been started.
Eco World International
The Oxbow building is part of a development by EcoWorld London which in turn is part of Eco World International Berhad (EcoWorld International), a Malaysian property developer.
One and two bedroom apartments in the newly built Oxbow are on sale for from £438,000.
