We hope the title of this post reads as ‘As soon as you get the chance get vaccinated’, no doubt if not someone in the borough will soon correct us.

The reason for the Enquirer to have a headline in Bangladeshi / Sylheti is because we want to make sure as many people from the Sylheti community in the borough get vaccinated as soon as they have the chance.

Those at risk and those who are senior citizens will get the vaccination first so it is hugely important that the Sylheti community elders set an example and get vaccinated.

Here is Khasruz Zaman, Inclusion and Community Engagement Manager for Barts Health NHS Trust, getting vaccinated earlier this week.

And a more comprehensive message from Khasruz.

And of course the legendary Yunus Dudhwala, Head of Chaplaincy
at Barts Health on his experience of getting the COVID19 vaccine.

And here is the latest official advice from Professor Whitty.

As community journalists we do exactly what it says on our tin – we work for the community.

In Tower Hamlets, which covers most of London’s East End, that means we spend a lot of time investigating allegations of political corruption.

It is an unfortunate fact that the poorest local authority in the country is still beset by the highest levels of corruption.

As Love Wapping we were instrumental in exposing the electoral corruption of Mayor Lutfur Rahman.
